"Google Print" angekuendigt

Literaturzitate,
Rezension oder OCLC-Datensatz auffindbar sind.
Auffindbar ist immerhin folgende erste Ankündigung:
                http://print.google.com/print/faq.html
Hier folgt der gesamte Text.
(Verlage, die ihren "Content" einbringen wollen, können sich schon melden.)
Der zweite Satz ist die überraschende Erkenntnis, die wohl zu der Idee des
neuen
Dienstes geführt hat:

What exactly is Google Print (BETA)?

Google's mission is to provide access to all the world's information and make
it
universally useful and accessible. It turns out that not all the world's
information is already on the Internet, so Google has been experimenting with
a
number of publishers to test their content online. During this trial,
publishers'
content is hosted by Google and is ranked in our search results according to
the
same technology we use to evaluate websites.

On Google Print pages, we provide links to some popular book sellers that may
offer the full versions of these publications for sale. Book seller links are
not
paid for by those sites, nor does Google benefit if you make a purchase from
one
of these retailers. In addition, these pages show contextually-targeted
AdWords
ads that are served through the Google AdSense program.

How can I tell if a result is part of Google Print or part of another
website?

Pages that are part of the Google Print program are identified with
print.google.com/print at the beginning of their URLs and have an "About
Google
Print" link at the bottom of each page. These pages are also clearly marked
in
Google's search results with a [BOOK] or similar tag as noted in the
following
example.

[BOOK] 1,000 Knock Knock Jokes for Kids (Excerpt)
...Kids can never get enough knock-knock jokes. For the insatiable riddler,
here
are 1,000 jokes that will satisfy the need to tease. Here are knock-knocks
about...
