Networked European Research Library for Economics (NEREUS) Project
Manager (One-year Post)

Salary : £ 30,632  inclusive

A consortium of European university libraries with major economics
collections are seeking to appoint a one-year project manager to assist
them with the preparation of a major bid for funding to the EU?s 6th
Framework Programme.  The aim of the project (NEREUS) will be to create
a large European digital information environment for economics
researchers, building on the success of two previous EU-funded projects
between 1995 and 2000, Decomate and Decomate II.

The successful candidate will be required to do most of the preliminary
work in liaising with EC officials relating to the Framework Programme,
and to draft the bid when the appropriate call for proposals comes out,
expected during 2003.  The consortium partners also wish to attract a
significant number of further partners from across Europe and beyond to
join the proposal, and the project manager will assist in the process of
recruiting, briefing, and supporting the new partners.

The appointment will be made as soon as possible, and the successful
candidate will work to one of the library directors in Barcelona,
Florence, London or Tilburg.  This advertisement is for candidates
