Liebe Kollegen und Kolleginnen,

pünktlich zu den Feiertagen wurde Band 1, Ausgabe 1 ( Dezember 2021) des
IFLA ENSULIB-Newsletters veröffentlicht und ist nun online als Webseite
[https://www.ifla.org/ifla-publications/ensulib-newsletter/ifla-ensulib-newsletter_vol1_issue1/]
sowie als PDF [https://repository.ifla.org/handle/123456789/1771] verfügbar.

Im August 2021 nahm ENSULIB, die IFLA-Sektion für Umwelt, Nachhaltigkeit
und Bibliotheken, ihre Arbeit nach 10 Jahren als Spezielle
Interessengruppe auf. Ab Dezember 2021 veröffentlicht ENSULIB nun
zweimal jährlich ihren offiziellen Newsletter.

Diese erste Ausgabe markiert das wichtige Jahr 2021 und feiert das erste
Jahr der ENSULIB-Sektion. Sie gibt einen Überblick über die Aktivitäten
und Erfolge von ENSULIB und bietet eine Plattform für die Präsentation
interessanter Geschichten, Veranstaltungen oder Projekte von
Bibliotheken aus aller Welt, die sich einem klaren ökologischen und
nachhaltigen Engagement verschrieben haben.

Wir freuen uns über alle Beiträge, Unterstützung und Ratschläge der
Mitglieder der Sektion und des Ständigen Ausschusses sowie der Kollegen
und Kolleginnen weltweit, die dazu beitrugen, diesen Newsletters
erfolgreich zu gestalten.

In August 2021, ENSULIB, IFLA’s Environment, Sustainability and
Libraries Section
<https://www.ifla.org/units/environment-sustainability-and-libraries/>
started its work after 10 years as a Special Interest Group.  From
December 2021, ENSULIB will publish its official newsletter twice a year.

This first issue marks the important year 2021 and celebrates the first
year of the ENSULIB Section. It reviews ENSULIB’s activities and
achievements and provides a platform for presenting interesting stories,
events or projects from libraries all over the world, that follow a
clear green and sustainable commitment.

We appreciate all the contributions, support and advice from the Section
and Standing Committee members and relevant colleagues worldwide to make
the publication of the Newsletter successful.
