Einladung zum 17:15 Kolloquium der ETH-Bibliothek – dieses Mal virtuell

Seien Sie am nächsten 17:15 Kolloquium dabei, wenn Martin Steiger, Anwalt und 
Unternehmer für Recht im digitalen Raum über Herausforderungen für Archive im 
Zeitalter des Internets spricht.
Mit der Digitalisierung und der Möglichkeit zur Publikation im Internet werden 
für Archive alte rechtliche Hürden wieder relevant und gleichzeitig ergeben 
sich neue: Zunächst einmal stellt sich die grundlegende Frage, was Archive im 
Internet zugänglich machen dürfen und in welcher Form dies erfolgen darf. Doch 
es kommen weitere Fragen hinzu: Wer hält welche Urheberrechte am Archivgut? Was 
gilt betreffend den Datenschutz und den Persönlichkeitsschutz? Wie müssen 
Lizenzen und Verträge ausgestaltet werden?



Veranstaltungssprache ist Deutsch. Das 17:15 Kolloquium findet um 17.15 Uhr auf

Die Formel des 17:15 Kolloquiums lautet: 30 Minuten Vortrag + 30 Minuten 
Diskussion + Gesprächsrunde in Kleingruppen = Inspiration für den Arbeitsalltag.

Invitation to the 17:15 Colloquium by the ETH Library – this time virtually



Take part in the next 17:15 Colloquium when Martin Steiger, lawyer and expert 
on law in the digital space, talks about challenges for archives in the age of 
the Internet.

With digitisation and the option to publish on the Internet, old legal hurdles 
are becoming relevant again for archives, while new ones are emerging at the 
same time. First of all, there is the fundamental question of what archives are 
permitted to make accessible online and in what form that is allowed to take 
place. But there are also other questions: Who holds which copyrights to the 
archival materials? What is the situation as regards data protection and the 
protection of privacy? How do licenses and agreements have to be structured?



The event language is German. The 17:15 Colloquium takes place at 17.15
