- Subject: [InetBib] CERL annual seminar
We warmly invite you to this year’s CERL seminar, which focusses on
Collections and Networks
Reconstructing the Historical Context of Texts, Publications and Objects with
digital methods
We will hear presentations on the IDIOM-project
[1]<http://mayawoerterbuch.de/>, the
ASH-project<https://www.sub.uni-goettingen.de/en/projects-research/project-details/projekt/asch/>
[2], the HPB [3]<http://hpb.cerl.org/> and the ESTC [4] as linked open data,
and data analysis on such large bibliographical files. We will also look at the
analysis of networks for intellectual exchange, e.g. in the context of the
Reassembling the Republic of Letters<http://www.republicofletters.net/> [5] and
the Fontane Notizbücher [6]. The last set of papers at the seminar will focus
on creating infrastructures to present complex information from a variety of
sources, for example in the Living with Machines project [7], the German
national portal for manuscripts that is under development and a Specialised
Information Service for Book Studies that is being explored by the Herzog
August Bibliothek in cooperation with the University Library Leipzig.
The seminar takes place at the Staats- und Universitätsibibliothek Göttingen on
Wednesday 9 October, and the progamme is available via the CERL website at
https://www.cerl.org/services/seminars/presentations2019#collections_and_networks
Attendance is free, but please register with secretariat@xxxxxxxx
