The 2019 edition of the European Conference for Information Retrieval 
(ECIR)<http://ecir2019.org/>, Europe's top venue for theoretical and applied 
research dissemination in the field of indexing, retrieval, information access, 
search technology, Web search and other topics, will take place in Cologne, 
Germany's media capital, in April 2019. ECIR provides talks on advances in 
automated information access, demos, tutorials, a doctoral consortium, an 
Industry Day as well as the Karen Spärck Jones award for researchers.
