The IFLA News Media Section invites to the Call for Papers to the IFLA
Satellite Conference 2017 in Dresden
"Relying on News Media. Perspectives for Long Term Preservation and Our
Collective Memory"
The main purpose of the conference will include the following sub-themes:
. Long term preservation of news media
. Latest initiatives and technologies in news (e-)preservation and
access
. Completeness and loss in archiving news media
. Text mining news media and news content
Other proposals relevant to the main conference theme will also be considered.
Submission Guidelines
. Proposal abstracts should be submitted as an MS Word file
. The abtracts should be in English or German, and clearly include:
. Title of proposed paper
. Abstract of proposed paper (no more than 300 words)
. Name(s) of presenter(s) plus position and/or title
. Employer / affiliated institution
. Contact information including e-mail address and telephone number
. Short biographical statement(s) of presenter(s)
Deadline for submitting your proposals is 1 march 2017
Please send your mail to all conference committee members

Authors of the abstracts will be informed about the selection decision by 10
March 2017. The complete papers and presentations slides of the accepted papers
should be submited by 30 June 2017
