The new CAM special interest group of EAHIL, the European Association for
Health Information and Libraries offers a platform for librarians and
information professionals in biomedical surroundings.
Website: http://www.eahil.net <http://www.eahil.net>
The Special Interest Group Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM SIG) was
established in June 2010 during the 12th Conference of the European Association
for Health Information and Libraries (EAHIL) in Lisbon
(http://www.eahil.net/subgroups.htm).
The CAM SIG is a forum for information professionals in CAM libraries and
information centres in Europe and all other information professionals with an
interest in complementary and alternative medicine or related topics. Members
work in different organisations and are from different European countries.
The CAM Special Interest Group aims to promote accessibility to information in
complementary and alternative medicine that is held within libraries and
information centers in Europe. A secondary aim is to reduce workload and bundle
efforts in CAM libraries and information centers through co-operative projects
and exchange of information.
We welcome new members. Membership is free. THE CAM Special Interest Group
meets during EAHIL conferences. Our next meeting will be right before the 13th
EAHIL conference (http://sites-final.uclouvain.be/EAHIL2012/conference/
<http://sites-final.uclouvain.be/EAHIL2012/conference/> ) on July 3rd, 2012 in
Brussels, Belgium.
