folgende Stellenausschreibung weiter:
DOCUMENTATION CENTRE ASSISTANT
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of
the Paralympic Movement. The IPC organizes the Summer and Winter Paralympic
Games, and serves as the International Federation for nine sports, for which
it supervises and co-ordinates the World Championships and other
competitions. The IPC is committed to enabling Paralympic athletes to
achieve sporting excellence and to developing sport opportunities for all
persons with a disability from the beginner to elite level. In addition, the
IPC aims to promote the Paralympic values, which include courage,
determination, inspiration and equality.
Founded on 22 September 1989, the IPC is an international non-profit
organization formed and run by 162 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs)
from five regions and four disability specific international sports
federations (IOSDs). The IPC Headquarters and its management team are
located in Bonn, Germany.
The IPC Documentation Centre offers a position as Documentation Centre
Assistant starting as soon as possible. The Documentation Centre, with its
three components Archives ? Library ? Exhibition, holds hardcopy and
electronic documents, sound and image media, books, journals, brochures,
flyers, posters, textiles and other exhibition items. One of our main
objectives is to populate a database in which all materials kept at IPC are
catalogued electronically.
Start: As soon as possible
Working hours: 11.5 hours/week
Compensation: 400 Euro net/month (?Minijob?)
Tasks:
Cataloguing of library and archival material on the Paralympic Movement in
the electronic database ?ADLiB Museum/Archive? developed by the company
ADLiB Information Systems.
Note that there is a probation of two months.
Requirements:
You should?
? Be a student or graduate of library or archive science, history or related
field (minimum: ?Hauptstudium?) ? Have a general understanding of work
processes in archives and libraries ? Have experience working with databases
(especially archive/library databases, eg description of items, keywording,
data backups, etc) ? Have good expertise in working with MS Office,
especially MS Word and Excel ? Have very good English language skills,
especially written (cataloguing and documentation will be entirely in
English) ? Be capable of thinking in abstract terms ? Be conscientious and
detail-oriented ? Be able to work independently ? Have an interest in
Paralympic sport and history
