Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,
auf folgende Veranstaltung möchte ich Sie freundlichst hinweisen:
"New Perspectives on Subject Indexing and Classification in an
International Context"
International Symposium in Honour of Magda Heiner-Freiling
at the German National Library, Adickesallee 1, 60322 Frankfurt am Main
on April 10, 2008, 11:00 - 16:30 p.m.
The German National Library in collaboration with OCLC cordially
invites the international library community to attend the symposium held to
honour the library's late colleague and head of subject cataloguing Magda
Heiner-Freiling.
For more than 30 years, Magda Heiner-Freiling was instrumental in
fostering the development of the library and its international cooperation. The
symposium particularly acknowledges her work and achievement in introducing DDC
as the German National Library's classification system as well as her
commitment to the issue of subject heading languages.
