Cedefop is seeking to recruit for its Library and Documentation department a
SYSTEM LIBRARIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Under the supervision of the Head of Library, the successful candidate will
carry out the following tasks:
- Acting as System librarian, lead all library and documentation automation,
and related web developments;
-  Manage the Library Management System (Aleph), e.g. maintenance of the host
server; configuration of all aspects of the system, analysis of system
performance, development of system's functionality and web interface;
- Be responsible for maintenance of the other library databases
(bibliographical, factual and textual databases);
- Integrate all available online delivery platforms, testing and assessment,
collaboration tools and online library resources into a single portal
interface;
- Ensure interoperability of metadata and online support for digital
projects;
- Developing and improving information services, e.g.: multilingual thesaurus
application (20 EU official languages), information collection tools, etc.;
- Technical support for ReferNet: e.g. workflow, control, automation of
procedures, etc.

FORMAL REQUIREMENTS
To be considered eligible, applicants must:
- A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies
attested by a diploma;
- Be a citizen from one of the EU Member States;
- Have a thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the Communities and a
satisfactory knowledge of another language of the Communities.
