Firenze University Press ("Reti medievali" , 03/13/02 13:32)
Reti Medievali
Iniziative on line per gli studi medievistici
Since its first publishing in Spring 2000, Reti Medievali is remarkably
grown up in published materials and in experiences of web scholarly
communication. In this field, our last accomplishment is the publication
of some E-book collections on medieval studies. E-books are
downloadable from the site and avalaible in print on demand, through
Firenze University Press.
Since 2002 Firenze University Press is the general publisher of the
whole RM. In other words the site is deposited by the Central National
Library of Florence, and authors can rely for their works on complete
bibliographic description, on the insertion in the main bibliographical
catalogues, on the warranty of authenticity, on the opportunity of
being consulted in the National Library, and - last but not least - on
the full
evaluability in scholarly selections.
According to its original aims, RM wants to be a scholarly site, with a
high level of information, offering texts, tools for research and
teaching,
historiographical reviews, following the current trends of italian and
international medieval studies. Moreover, RM is concerned with the high
divulgation to a broader public, made by school teachers and students,
librarians, archivists, editors, journalists and amateurs. According to
these aims, RM publishes only peer reviewed texts.
