Public Library People has been designed to become a searchable directory of
e-mail addresses of UK public librarians. The easy to use directory will
become a single point of reference for locating the e-mail addresses of
public librarians around the UK. In addition to searching the directory
using a Web form, many e-mail
programs, including Microsoft Outlook Express and Netscape Messenger, can be
configured to search the directory directly.

The success of the directory depends upon people registering their contact
details using a simple online form.  The more public librarians who
register, the more effective it will be.  Please add your own details and
encourage your colleagues to do likewise. Details can be added by clicking
on the 'new' button on the directory's homepage.

The Public Library People Directory has been developed as part of PRIDE
(People and Resources Identification for Distributed Environments) which is
an EU Libraries Programme funded project.
