Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

Die Stadtbibliotheken in Koeln und Bremen, die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung und
der British Council sind die Organisatoren einer internationalen Konferenz
fuer oeffentliche Bibliotheken zum Thema:

Public Libraries in the Information Society - workshop on know-how transfer
of EC initiatives for public libraries to central and eastern European
countries, 

der vom 11.-13. April 1997 in der Kurt-Schumacher-Akademie der
Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Bad Münstereiffel stattfinden wird.

Zur Zeit sind nur noch fuenf Plaetze frei. Wir bitten Interessenten, sich
bei Frau Lison-Ziessow in Bremen anzumelden. Anmeldungen werden nach der
Reihenfolge ihres Eingangs beruecksichtigt.

Die Kosten für die Tagung werden groesstenteils von der
Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung und dem British Council getragen. Die
Tagungsgebuehr betraegt DM 160 (Einzelzimmer, Vollverpflegung) bzw. DM 100
(Doppelzimmer, Vollverpflegung).

Die Konferenzsprachen sind Englisch und Deutsch, alle Vortraege werden in
englischer Sprache gehalten.
