Annual General Conference 1997

Pre-Conference "The Berne Convention in the Digital Age: What will 
happen after the WIPO Conference December 1996?"

The 1997 LIBER Pre-Conference will deal with the conclusions of the 
recent World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Conference on 
copyright, and the WIPO Copyright Treaty of December 1996. A panel of 
distinguished speakers will discuss aspects of this important topic: 
Mr Jukka Liedes chaired the WIPO Copyright Conference in December 
1996; Dr Joerg Reinbothe is responsible for drafting the new EC 
Directive on Copyright; Mr Helge M. Soenneland will discuss 
Government perspectives on the issue of Copyright; and Ms Emanuella 
Giavarra is Director of EBLIDA's European Copyright User Platfrom 
(ECUP) project.
